a site about the business of invention.
Please take the time to read this before proceeding to the home page:
The purpose of this site is to take a peek at the business of invention. Some reference is made to historical events, but please bear in mind that while all care has been taken to be as accurate as possible, the material featured is not intended to be a definitive historical work.
There are a large number of links in the text of the site. Most of these will take you to another website, somewhere out there in cyberspace. To return to this site from one of those other sites, please use the "Back" button in your browser.
Navigation within this site is provided via the buttons and links featured on the grey panel on the left of each page. Navigation buttons are animated on mouse roll-over.
There are two versions of this site.
The original one submitted for the UNITEC assignment features GIF roll-over buttons. I have since removed the sound from these buttons as some browsers had problems with the sound.
The other version was an experiment and uses Flash buttons. These feature sound, and some of the animations are more interesting. You must have the Flash4 plugin installed to view this version of the site.
The site is basically organised as follows:
Homepage takes you to a topic intro takes you to a feature story.
I have endeavoured to ensure pages will load within about ten seconds at 56kbps.
Please enjoy. I hope you find the site both informative and entertaining. If you have any comments or suggestions, I can be reached via the e-mail link at the bottom of the Home page.
